In preparation for National Afforestation Day, the Afforestation Unit at the College of Education organized a workshop titled "Afforestation and its Role in Environmental Protection and Combating Desertification."
The workshop addressed the vital importance of tree planting and its role in mitigating the effects of climate change and fostering a healthy university environment. It further highlighted how afforestation improves the aesthetic appeal of the campus while creating a cleaner and more comfortable atmosphere.
The workshop aimed to:
- Enhance environmental awareness among students by highlighting the significance of vegetation cover.
- Encourage volunteerism and active participation in environmental initiatives.
