In memory of the sacrifices of Iraq’s righteous martyrs, and in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Presidency of the University of Fallujah, the College of Education organized a vigil to mark the twelfth anniversary of the Speicher Massacre. The event was attended by the Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sheerin Hamid Farhan, along with a number of faculty members, staff, and students.
The vigil included reciting Surah Al-Fatiha for the pure souls of the martyrs and standing for a minute of silence in honor of their sacrifices, evoking the meanings of loyalty and gratitude to those who gave their lives for the homeland.
The College Deanship emphasized that the memory of the Speicher martyrs will remain a defining milestone in the Iraqi conscience and a testament to the magnitude of the sacrifices made by the people of Iraq in confronting terrorism. It also stressed the importance of consolidating the values of citizenship and national unity, and rejecting extremist ideology.
On this occasion, the College of Education renews its pledge of loyalty to the righteous martyrs, affirming that their message and sacrifices will remain a beacon guiding generations toward building a secure, stable Iraq where peace and dignity prevail.
May Allah have mercy on the Speicher martyrs and all the martyrs of Iraq, and grant their families patience and solace.
