The College of Education concluded the specialized training course titled "Renewable Energy and the Environment," which was held as part of the requirements for career promotion from one grade to another. The course, which saw the participation of a number of the college's staff members, comes within the framework of its efforts aimed at developing scientific and professional capabilities and enhancing knowledge of scientific and environmental developments.
The course included two scientific tracks: Dr. Mohammed Abdul-Jawad, Director of the Electronic Computer Center at the University of Fallujah, lectured in the first track, addressing the concepts of renewable energy, its various sources, its modern applications, and its role in achieving sustainable development and reducing the environmental impacts resulting from traditional energy sources.
Meanwhile, Professor Dr. Othman Ibrahim Hammadi lectured in the second track, reviewing the most prominent contemporary environmental issues and challenges, and ways to address them by adopting clean technologies and sustainable alternatives, thereby contributing to enhancing environmental awareness and developing the scientific knowledge of the participants.
At the conclusion of the course, an exam was conducted for the participants to evaluate the extent of benefit from the scientific material provided and to measure the level of knowledge and skill acquisition related to the course tracks.
This course is part of a series of training and development programs that the College of Education is keen to organize with the aim of elevating the scientific and professional standards of its staff, and enabling them to keep pace with scientific and technological developments in line with the requirements of institutional and career development.
